Is your conservatory too hot to enjoy?
A glass conservatory seems like a perfect idea, but its not until the sun hits it we realise we just have a giant greenhouse extension on the back of our houses. With the sun being at its highest and strongest during our summer months, your glass roof is the main entry point for solar heat. The most common methods to resolve this – blinds, A/C, solid roof conversions – are all costly and come with compromises. Our heat rejection film will reduce the solar gain considerably, without the drawbacks, for a cheapest cost.
Blinds or a Solid Roof Conversation too expensive?
Decent roof blinds can cost thousands of pounds, and come with issues of their own, including reduced natural light, compromised views, increased heat build-up, maintenance challenges, and visual impact. They rarely do much to reduce the heat gain in the summer, and quickly deteriorate from the sun. Solid roof conversions are more effective, but come at the cost of completely eliminating the glass roof, losing the views and that nice airy feeling only a glass conservatory can give you.
Already have blinds but it’s still too warm?
Our heat rejection films will compliment your existing blinds perfectly, and take away the heat and glare that your blinds aren’t able to. Our fitters are experienced in working around blinds, so we would be able to fit our film whilst your blinds remain, really giving you the best of both worlds!
Do you have a Velux or Skylight in your house?
Skylights and Velux windows are a great addition of neutral light in your home, but sadly come with the drawback of also bringing unwanted solar heat in on those already warm days! Our heat rejection films will allow you to cut down on the heat and glare coming through your roof windows, whilst still benefitting from the natural light it’s intended for!

Which type of window film is right for me?
We are approved installers for all the leading manufactures, so the range of films we can offer you is endless. But to keep it simple for you we’ve narrowed down the choice to most effective solar control films for the job, with different visual properties, to best suit your needs. However, if you have any specific requirements not listed here, please get in touch and we will assist you in providing the most suitable product for the job. Below, we have listed the best choices for your conservatory roof, with the maximum amount of heat and glare rejection, with the minimal amount of visual impact.
Reflective Silver 20
Our Reflective Silver 20 hear rejection film is our most effective window film available for reducing heat and glare from the sun. Its silver reflective properties give it a one-way appearance, so it will look like a mirror from the outside - not a big deal when it's on a roof - and its this mirror property that reflects the sunlight and the heat away from your conservatory before it gets inside.
The disadvantage of this film's reflective property is that the internal reflection it can become very noticeable on dull days, and especially at night, and will prevent you from seeing out your glass roof when it's dark outside and light inside. If this is a concern, our neutral film would be a better choice.

Neutral Grey 20
Our Neutral Grey 20 heat rejection film is the best choice for those who don't like the internal reflective appearance of the silver reflective window films. Neutral Grey 20 is a 'low mirror' film which absorbs the heat rather than reflects it, so it does visually look less noticeable than the silver reflective films, and allows for better views outside than the silver will, especially in lower lighting conditions.
The disadvantage of our Neutral Grey 20 film is that the neutral appearance means it is slightly less effective at heat and glare rejection than the silver, as it doesn't reflect the sun away as effectively as a reflective silver film does - having said that, it is still extremely effective, as the stats show, and will make a big difference to the heat gain in your conservatory.

Should I have the side windows/doors filmed as well?
We always recommend you film as much glass within your conservatory as possible for the best heat and glare rejection results! As your conservatory sidewalls and and external doors are also glass, they are also a source of solar heat gain just like the roof is. However, as they’re not horizontal like the roof, we would recommend a lighter film, which would be barely noticeable, and wouldn’t affect the appearance of the side windows much at all, whist still providing effective heat rejection. having your side walls and doors done would compliment the roof film very nicely and aid its performance in achieving a cool living area for your conservatory, and its 99% UV rejection will help to reduce furnishing fading from the sun.
Silver 50
Silver 50 is our most effective solution for the side walls glass and doors of your conservatory, as it gets the perfect balance between rejecting the heat and glare, whilst still being light and barely noticeable when installed on the glass, As these windows are vertical facing, they don't require the same powerful, more noticeable film that we would recommend on the horizontal roof.

What if I want a lighter film for my roof?
If your conservatory is east or west facing, you may only get the sun for a couple of hours per day, not enough to require a strong heat rejection film, but something a little bit lighter that will take the edge of during those hot hours. If this is the case, please let us know when you enquire, and we will be able to cater and offer lighter versions of the above silver and neutral films, which have less solar rejection with the benefit of more light transmission and it being less noticeable when installed to your roof.
